We cannot deny, nor obviate that when it is a question of mobile applications, Apple takes the lead compare to its rivals of Google in the platform Android, Microsoft in the platform of Windows Phone and Blackberry with its OS 10.
We can’t imagine thinking about the war that exists between these technological companies that dispute this market. For example, Apple had an excellent year 2013.
In the App Store last October, we had the communication from them that they had exceeded the million applications, and the number of downloads was reported with more than 60 billions. Apple provides to us a list of the most popular or relevant applications of 2013.
The main free applications are: Vine, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps, Youtube, Candy Crush and Saga of Clans, and Temple Run 2. In my opinion, I want to emphasize some applications that I believe that they are very important in ours every day life: Duolingo, Myfitness, Flashlight, and Twitter.
Before beginning to review these applications, allow me to comment on the huge fortune that the technological market is handling.
A survey company of applications called Distimo, in November completed a study where it specifies the income acquired by this sector as a whole exceeds 18 million dollars American daily in contrast to 15 millions that they obtained last year.
In 2013 the business of the applications has become more successful than in previous years. The case of Despicable Me, who has recommendations of 4.6 stars being the maximum of 5.0 stars in the Google Play, reached its first million downloads in a few days since it put itself in circulation on the market. The application with more income of 2013 between all the online stores as a whole is Clash of Clans, which was very profitable for Apple essentially. “This is a strategy game where players can construct and expand one's village, unlock successively more powerful warriors and defenses, raid and pillage resources from other villages, create and join Clans.”
Lets review some of these applications:
Vine. An application of Twitter essentially for short video. Undoubtedly Vine has been a big success of this year. In conclusion this application has the feature to share videos of six seconds.
Snapchat. It's an application that allows the users to take pictures, record videos, add text and drawings, and them send it to a private list just to mention a function.
In fact the innovation of this application is that in a short period of time allows you to share your photos or videos and they assure you that it will disappear from their network providing privacy to the user more than Facebook or twitter. We all know, that everything we upload to the Internet is almost impossible to delete or disappear completely.
This mini social network has captured the attention of the youth people and they have left Facebook to go away to its new innovation Snapchat.
Even Mark Zuckerberg the founder of Facebook admitted last months that Facebook was going through a serious problems given that the youth public meaning the teen angels from 13 years on are migrating towards other social networks.

In regards to these information’s the fact is that a very well known American newspaper “The Wall Street Journal” cited that Snapchat rejected a Facebook offer for 3,000 million dollars. Continued by Google that increased the offer to 4,000 million dollars, which was rejected also by the young student who developed the application of Snapchat “Evan Spiegel“ and “Robert Murphy“ of Stanford's University.
This indicates us, that the world of technologies will keep on changing the way we are doing business now days. Furthermore, Duolingo it is a mobile application. You can use it in your personal computer as well. The fact is: you can learn more than five free languages.
As affirm its creators 34 hours invested in the above-mentioned program to learn English, it is equivalent to 1 university semester. "Far and away the best free language-learning app." —The Wall Street Journal.
This application is very important for me because it allows me to control everything I eat and also it calculates the calories as its name assures it. MyFitnessPal “Calories Counter” This application, allows you to lose weight if you do it exactly as it says. It monitors even the water that you have to drink every day, which is essential in any loss of weight program.
